His children including those mentioned in his will were (?) another son Robert and a dau Frances both of whom died young and are recorded in the Rathdowney Catholic Register.

His wife Mary the lease of his farm in the 'Street of Skirk' Also the lease of Newtown and Skirk. His son Patrick, unitil he shall reach the age of 30. His two daus, Mary and Bridget.

His three sons, Daniel, William and Patrick Dowling. His wife Frances. His dau Mary. His dau. Elizabeth. His mother her part of Newtown.
Will dated...... Proved in March 1769. He died at Newtown 16 Jan 1769.
NB. his wife was Frances dau of Robert Finn of Coolfinn. Despite the pressure of the Penal Laws, Patrick, though a Catholic, suceeded in retaining his large holding in Skirk, due probably to the fact that his wife was a Protestant. His children including those mentioned in his will were (?) another son Robert and a dau Frances both of whom died young and are recorded in the Rathdowney Catholic Register.
