A familiar figure in the town died under very sad circumstances on Thursday of last week in the person of William George Cocking, a man of 63 years of age.

The Rev. R. S. Bagshaw officiated at the funeral which took place at the Cemetery on Monday afternoon. The mourners were Mrs. Stimson (daughter), Mrs. Hobbs (sister in law), and Mr. G. Francis (father in law). There were no flowers. Mr. G. Styles was the undertaker.
